About this Mod
Buried is a datapack built to challenge the player's technical knowledge in order to make progress in a solid stone world with randomly ganerated structures
Generation is similar to Minecraft's vanilla underground with a few changes...
- Ores do not generate
- Biomes do not generate
- The only points of interest which generate are; Trial Chambers, Mineshafts, Monster Spawners, Geodes, and Large Ore Veins
- When Creating a new world or joining the server for the first time, players are greeted with a short cutscene before being given a few items to start (Cut Scene is limited to 10 players)
- A Resource Map is given to the player when first joining to lead them to the nearest Resource Room
- Resource Rooms generate randomly in concentric circles around spawn which hold various spawners nessary for the early game
- Respawning gives the player a Stone Pickaxe incase spawn is trapped

How to Install Buried. on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Buried.". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Buried. server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Buried. compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Buried. officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.11. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Buried. – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Buried. consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
