About this Mod
Bzz Bzz Mob Silencer
Bzz Bzz Mob Silencer is a client-side Fabric mod that lets you control mob sounds individually.
Instead of muting the entire hostile, friendly, or ambient sound category, you can choose exactly which mobs should stay audible and which ones should be completely silent.
Features
- Mute every supported mob individually
- Separate toggle for each detected entity
- Global enable and disable option
- Automatically detects registered entity sounds
- Supports many modded mobs that use standard entity sound names
- Simple in-game configuration menu
- Settings are saved locally
- Works entirely client-side
- No server installation or server permissions required
How to configure
Open:
Mods → Bzz Bzz Mob Silencer → Configure
Each mob has its own toggle:
- ON — The mob remains audible
- OFF — The mob is muted
The configuration contains multiple pages so that even large modpacks with many entities remain manageable.
Multiplayer
The mod only changes the sounds you hear on your own client. Other players are not affected, and the server does not need to have the mod installed.
Compatibility
The mod detects sound events that follow Minecraft’s standard entity naming format, such as:
entity.zombie.ambiententity.zombie.hurtentity.zombie.death
Modded mobs using a similar naming structure can also be detected automatically.
