About this Mod
Play through a VHS Filter!
Camcord is a simple mod that adds a VHS-inspired filter to the game. This isn't based off of the actual inner-workings of a VHS camera and player, but it gets a stylized effect of an old camera. Activate the effect with F7.
Dependencies / Prerequisites
First of all, this is a Quilt mod, and will not work on Forge or Fabric. You can learn more about Quilt here!
There are a few mods which you need to install to play this mod.
Make sure you get the appropriate versions, Fabric if Quilt isn't avaliable.

Yes, this does in fact work with mods like Iris, Sodium, Optifine, etc!
Config Options
Yes, this has some configurable options! To activate the effect ingame, you must toggle it with F7, but that can be changed in the controls menu.
Fisheye Zoom - Zooms out the screen. Bigger values zoom out.
Fisheye Scale - Scales out the screen. Bigger values scale out.
Fisheye Pinch - Strength of the fisheye effect. Bigger values have less distortion.
Near Plane - Near Plane for the Bokeh effect.
Far Plane - Far Plane for the Bokeh effect.
Boarder - Renders the 4:3 boarder.

How to Install Camcord on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set quilt Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the quilt loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Camcord". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Camcord server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong quilt version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Camcord compatible with quilt?
Camcord officially supports quilt for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.19.2, 1.19.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Camcord – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Camcord consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
