Cape Over Elytra is a lightweight client-side Fabric mod that keeps your cape visible while you are wearing an elytra by hiding the rendered elytra model. It is made for players who want their cape to stay visible without changing gameplay or requiring anything on the server.

Tested on Minecraft capes and Optifine capes.

How to Install Cape Over Elytra on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Cape Over Elytra". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
