About this Mod

A mod for people who want to show off their capes

Animated gif showing 2 minecraft instances. One instance shows player relogging into a LAN world, and second instance shows how cape is different everytime player joins the world

This mod equips a randomly chosen cape on your minecraft profile everytime you disconnect from a server.

(1.21.7+) You can choose which capes will be included in randomizer pool by opening the "Select favorite capes" screen via mod menu or by using /caperandomizer set_favorites command. In this screen you can also select the default cape, which will automatically equip when you close the game.

⚠️ This mod may not work in singleplayer due to the way how minecraft caches skins

How to Install Cape randomizer on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Cape randomizer". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
