About this Mod
Capify
Create and use your own custom Minecraft capes completely client-side.
Capify allows you to upload a PNG image and wear it as a cape without requiring a Minecraft cape, a client subscription, or any server-side installation.
Features
- Upload your own custom cape textures
- Simple and lightweight user interface
- Instant cape preview
- Client-side only
- Works in singleplayer and multiplayer
- No account modifications required
- No external cape services needed
Capify only changes how your character appears on your own client. Other players will not see your custom cape unless they are also using a compatible cape system.
Why Capify?
Many cape systems require paid clients, subscriptions, or external services. Capify focuses on a simple idea:
Your cape, your design, your choice.

Capify server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Capify compatible with fabric?
Capify officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Capify – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Capify consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
