About this Mod

Chain crafter is a simple data pack that allows you to craft chainmail armour using chains!
This adds the long-awaited recipe in the game!
Craft the armour like normal armour, but the helmet and boots need to be in a specific place, look at the gallery for help if you need (This has been fixed in versions 0.3 and above).

How to Install Chain Crafter on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set datapack Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Chain Crafter". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Chain Crafter consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
