About this Mod

[Charmer Mod Title]

A small mod that aims to expand Minecraft's worlds with unique charms.

Features

20 Unique charms that can be found spread across the world. Equip them by holding them in the offhand.
Some notable charms are:
- Flyover - Allows the bearer to place blocks behind them in order to quickly bridge across gaps.
- Plentiful Mould - Allows the bearer to recieve any flower by right-clicking it with bonemeal.
- Gilded Pulse - Grants the bearer a regenerating protective layer of the Absorption effect.
- Fermented Wart - Emits a poisonous aura around the bearer.
- Goldsoul - Grants the bearer the abillity to use Totems of Undying without holding them in the offhand.

Planned Features

~30 more charms!
Charm Box - Allows players to use up to 6 charms at a time. Will have it's own balance system, locking certain charms out when using others.
A dedicated slot in the inventory for charms - instead of the current system which requires the charms to stay in your offhand.

Feel free to use the mod in modpacks.

How to Install Charmer on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Charmer". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Charmer server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Charmer compatible with fabric?

Charmer officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Charmer – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Charmer consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
