About this Mod
Chat Coords
Chat Coords is a Minecraft mod that allows players to easily share their current coordinates with others in the game. With this mod, players no longer have to manually type out their coordinates in the chat. Instead, they can simply press a button to send their coordinates to the chat for all players to see.

Installation & Usage
- Install the Chat Coords mod that is compatible with your preferred mod loader (Only available for Fabric as of right now)
- In-game, press the keybind (default is N) to send your current coordinates and dimension to the chat.
- The coordinates will be displayed in the format (x, y, z) and the dimension will be indicated with "Overworld", "Nether", or "End".

The keybind for sending coordinates can be configured in the game's keybind settings.

How to Install Chat Coords on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.5).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Chat Coords". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Chat Coords server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Chat Coords compatible with fabric and forge?
Chat Coords officially supports fabric, forge for Minecraft 1.20.5, 1.20.4, 1.20.3. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Chat Coords – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Chat Coords consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
