About this Mod

A small Fabric client mod for Minecraft 1.21.8+ that lets you selectively hide chat:

/minimizechat true all — hide everything until chat is opened.

/minimizechat true chat — hide only player chat / system messages.

/minimizechat true commands — hide only command / command-block outputs.

/minimizechat false — restore vanilla behavior.

/minimizechat backfill off|all|commands|chat — control what buffered lines flush when you open chat.

Settings save in config/chatminimizer.json.

How to Install Chat Minimizer on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Chat Minimizer". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
