About this Mod

Chat 2 (before GTAVI)

This mod adds one GUI screen, the Chat 2.

Chat 2 shows a text field that you can type into, and upon clicking the "Send" button, it will send it as a message to all players.

This screen is completely unrelated to the real chat menu, meaning no change to the game will prevent this one from working.

The only thing that would prevent it from working, is if the whole chat display was blocked. If that's the case, I will update this mod to add my own display.

How to Install Chat Two on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set neoforge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Chat Two". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Chat Two server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
