The Function

A basic one recipe Data Pack that adds a recipe to increase the availability of Netherite Upgrade Smithing Templates.

The Purpose

The changes in to smithing tables 1.20 had a mixed reception with the community. Some people welcomed the changes, while others were exceptionally upset with how much harder it was to get Netherite gear. This Data Pack hopes to solve that problem by adding in a recipe that uses materials that otherwise have no use to create Netherite Upgrade Smithing Templates.

How to Install Cheaper Netherite Smithing Templates on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set datapack Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Cheaper Netherite Smithing Templates". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
