About this Mod
ChestNet is a client-side Minecraft mod that helps you find items inside nearby chests and containers without opening every one by hand.

Have you ever lost an item somewhere in your storage room?
With ChestNet, you can search for an item, and the mod will highlight containers where that item was previously found. When you open a matching container, ChestNet can also highlight the exact slot where the item is located.
Features
- Search for items stored in nearby chests and containers
- Highlight containers that may contain the selected item
- Highlight exact matching slots inside opened containers
- Search by typing an item name
- Search for the item under your mouse cursor with a hotkey
- Save container data separately for each world or server
- Fully client-side — no server installation required
How it works
ChestNet does not magically scan every chest in the world.
It remembers container contents when you open them and saves this data locally. Because of this, each world or server has its own separate database.
The more you use ChestNet in your storage area, the more useful it becomes.

ChestNet server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is ChestNet compatible with fabric?
ChestNet officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with ChestNet – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if ChestNet consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
