About this Mod

About

Chlorophyte is a very rare ore found in lush caves, generating between Y:8 and Y:-48. Its ore, when mined with a diamond pickaxe, drops a few Chlorophyte Nuggets, which can either craft Chlorophyte Ingots or Chlorophyte Seeds.

Chlorophyte Seeds can be planted in Clay to make a Chlorophyte Bud, which slowly grows into Chlorophyte Ore. The method for its growth stages is completely random, so I cannot tell you how long it'll take. The bud can be safely broken with your fist or a shovel to retrieve the seeds and some clay, if you decide you would like to relocate it.

Once it fully grows, mining the ore with a diamond pickaxe will drop 4-8 Clay Balls and 5-8 Chlorophyte Nuggets. It will always drop enough nuggets to craft more seeds, and fortune can be used to get more nuggets.

To actually use Chlorophyte, you must find a Smithing Template with the Chlorophyte upgrade. It can be found in Jungle Temples (66% chance per chest) and Mineshaft Chests (8.3% chance per chest), and duplicated using Jungle Logs and a Chlorophyte Ingot. Once you have the template, you simply upgrade a Diamond tool using it and a Chlorophyte Ingot to get your Chlorophyte tool.

Chlorophyte tools have slightly more durability than Diamond tools, and will regenerate it in direct sunlight. They can also be repaired via the Mending enchantment and in an Anvil by using Chlorophyte Ingots.

Frequently Asked Questions

Chlorophytic server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Chlorophytic compatible with forge?

Chlorophytic officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Chlorophytic – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Chlorophytic consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
