About this Mod

This mod lets you place blocks by throwing them. Good luck.

This mod is a data pack under the hood, and is compatible with vanilla clients. Support for modded blocks must be added manually by editing the data pack files.

Known issues:

  • Cannot break or interact with other blocks while holding a block item (No fix planned)
  • When blocks are crafted or obtained from loot, they are not stackable with other identical blocks until they enter the player's inventory (No fix planned)
  • Shulker Boxes don't maintain the order of stored items when thrown
  • Blocks that require certain supports can be placed in illegal positions when thrown
  • Carrots and Potatoes cannot be thrown
  • Blocks all share the same generic block placing sound

Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Chuck compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?

Chuck officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Chuck – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Chuck consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
