About this Mod
Cinematic Flow
Cinematic Flow is a mod that helps you create cinematic camera movements between points in your world. Instead of walking or flying to show off your builds, you can set up a path that automatically moves your camera while you sit back and watch.
How It Works
The mod gives you a set of tools in your inventory when you use the /cinema start command. These items let you:
- Set markers at different locations in your world
- Remove markers if you place them in the wrong spot
- Set a focus point that your camera will look at during movement
- Edit individual markers to control timing and names
- Adjust settings for different movement styles
Once you've placed at least two markers, use the start item to begin recording your cinematic. Your camera will move from marker to marker.
What Makes It Different
Most camera mods are complicated or require learning complex commands. Cinematic Flow keeps things simple - just right-click with the tools to place markers where you want your camera to go. The mod handles all the movement calculations for you.
You can choose between different movement styles like linear paths or curved Catmull-Rom splines. Each marker can have its own timing, so you can slow down at important parts of your build and speed up through transitions.
Perfect For
- Builders who want to showcase their creations
- Content creators making videos
- Server owners creating tours of spawn areas or important builds
- Players who just want to experience their world from a new perspective
The mod works entirely server-side, so everyone on a multiplayer server can see your camera movements. No need for everyone to install it separately.
Simple Setup
- Install the mod on your server or in singleplayer
- Use
/cinema startto get your tools - Right-click with the marker tool to place points along your desired path
- Right-click with the start tool to begin your cinematic
- Use the stop tool to end recording and return to normal gameplay

Cinematic Flow server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Cinematic Flow compatible with fabric?
Cinematic Flow officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.8. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Cinematic Flow – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Cinematic Flow consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
