ClaudeMCP
Connect Claude AI to Minecraft - let it control a bot and actually play the game
About this Mod
ClaudeMCP lets you connect Claude AI (the desktop app) to your Minecraft world and have it actually play the game - not just answer questions about it.
Claude gets a bot that spawns in your world and can walk around, mine stuff, build things, collect items, and generally do whatever you tell it. You give it a task in plain language and it figures out the steps itself, navigating terrain, avoiding cliffs, dealing with obsticles, all that.
It runs a small local server on port 25566 that Claude connects to through the Model Context Protocol. Only works in singleplayer and LAN worlds - theres no point trying it on a dedicated server.
What it actually does:
Spawns a bot that Claude controls in real time
Claude navigates the world step by step, it doesn't just "send the bot on a mission and wait"
Bot can build structures, dig tunnels, farm resources, follow paths
You talk to Claude in the chat interface and watch the bot do stuff ingame
Multiplayer freind permissions via chat commands
Important stuff:
This mod was made as a fun experiment to see if Claude could actually play Minecraft. Its not affiliated with Anthropic in any way, not an official product, and definitely not something you should rely on for anything serious. Made for laughs, works surprisingly well sometimes.
Requires Claude Desktop app installed and configured. First time setup is guided ingame.

ClaudeMCP server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is ClaudeMCP compatible with neoforge?
ClaudeMCP officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with ClaudeMCP – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if ClaudeMCP consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
