Cleanse
Tiny clientside mod that fixes the 'chat spam caused by a big modpack' issue
About this Mod
Remove the wall of text spammed into your chat on login!
This mod filters out any non-vanilla chat messages during a certain period after the world is opened. By default this period is 1 second, but this can be changed in the config.
This is its only function, and it helps to eliminate the 'We have an update, and we don't care that Forge had a built-in notification system for this for ages', 'We are compatible with this in-game wiki, so we think that you MUST know about that', 'Here are my socials (ugh kinda cringe) and patreon' and other chat spam on login.
NOTE: Mod authors can (easily) deliberately work around what this mod does if they really want to and do their chat spam anyway, nothing you can do about it, but this mod is way to small and inconsequential to warrant that kind of attention lol.
IF YOU STILL SEE PARTIAL SPAM: well first look at the latest log, if the [Cleanse]: Reenabled adding new chat lines just happens before something sends something in chat, then either you have an enormous modpack, or the mod sends the message with a delay - only thing you can do is increase the time in the config.
Usage in modpacks
The mod is released under the terms of the MIT license, which means that to use it you must include the license notice file (it has my name on top of it).
This file is present in the jar file, so you don't have to do anything and can freely use it however you want.

Cleanse server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.19.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Cleanse compatible with forge?
Cleanse officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.19.3, 1.19.2, 1.19.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Cleanse – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Cleanse consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
