About this Mod

ClientBridge – Mod Communication for Fabric Clients

ClientBridge is a tool that enables Fabric clients to communicate their active mods to the server. It bridges the gap between clients and servers by providing mod list transmission functionality similar to that of Forge clients.

Features

  • Mod List Transmission: Fabric clients can send a list of their active mods to the server, similar to the communication standard used by Forge clients.
  • Mod Whitelist/Blacklist: Configure a whitelist or blacklist to allow or restrict specific mods on your server.
  • Command to View Mods: Use the /mods <player> command to view the list of mods currently used by a specific player.
  • Modular Design: ClientBridge consists of a Fabric mod on the client side and a Paper plugin on the server side, working together seamlessly.

ClientBridge is the missing link for Fabric mod communication, making server and client interactions more consistent, transparent, and customizable.

Frequently Asked Questions

ClientBridge server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.10). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is ClientBridge compatible with fabric and paper?

ClientBridge officially supports fabric, paper for Minecraft 1.21.10, 1.21. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with ClientBridge – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if ClientBridge consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
