Close Command
Adds a command to close Minecraft in a certain amount of time.
About this Mod
Close Command
A lightweight client-side mod that adds /close — tell Minecraft to shut itself down after a set amount of time. Great for falling asleep mid-AFK, capping a play session, or just walking
away without leaving the game running all night.
Features
- Flexible time input — /close 5 minutes, /close 90s, /close 1:30:00 hours, /close 5h, even /close 2 years. Units from milliseconds to years, and decimals work too.
- /close status — check how much time is left.
- /close cancel — call it off.
- One timer at a time — running /close again just replaces the old timer, so they never stack up.
- Smart tab-completion — suggests units and examples as you type.
- Two modes — closes instantly by default, or add safe to save your world first (/close 10m safe).
Usage
/close
Client-side only — no server install needed. Requires Fabric API.

Close Command server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Close Command compatible with fabric?
Close Command officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Close Command – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Close Command consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
