About this Mod
Cloudflared is a technology that allows creating tunnels between two clients without worrying about revealing your IP and ignoring most firewall rules (as long as you can connect to websites, you should be fine!)
This mod bridges Cloudflared technology and Minecraft, allowing players to share their world through Cloudflared. We provide a custom IP address standard of "cloudflared://your-temporary-network.trycloudflare.com" (unless you have your hostname set up) to distinguish between normal IPs and tunneled.
When adding a server to the server list (or via direct connection), the address starting with cloudflared:// will create a tunnel connection between you and the host, letting you connect without port-forwarding.
For a more advanced setup, you should check our documentation here!
When launching a dedicated server, the mod will also create a tunnel to your server.
A lot of things are configurable inside /.minecraft/config/cloudflared.cfg
This mod doesn't do much besides that.

Cloudflared server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Cloudflared compatible with fabric and forge?
Cloudflared officially supports fabric, forge for Minecraft 1.20.4, 1.20.3, 1.20.2. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Cloudflared – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Cloudflared consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
