Items
- Letter
- Is produced when closing an envelope
- Can be designated to a specific player
- Has encrypted content
- Has a title and an author (which can be removed to make the letter anonymous)
- Letter Paper
- Is used for writing letters
- Is equivalent to book and quill, but with a maximum of 10 pages
- Envelope
- Contains a maximum of 3 letter papers
- Can be closed to create a letter
- Key
- Is used to open a locked mailbox
- Unused Key
- Is used for locking a mailbox and duplicating existing keys

- Mailbox
- Works like a container
- Has 15 slots
- Can only hold letters, letter papers and envelopes
- Emits a comparator signal according to how many slots are filled
- Drops itself including the contents when dropped
- Can be locked when crafted together with an Unused Key

How to Install Communicated on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Communicated". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Communicated server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Communicated compatible with fabric?
Communicated officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Communicated – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Communicated consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
