About this Mod

!!!Do not use this mod in a hardcore world. This mod requires a survival-hard game. İt changes it to a different type of hardcore!!!

Compassionate Hardcore Mod

A Second Chance Without Letting Go of Hardcore!

Hardcore mode provides the most adrenaline-filled experience in Minecraft. However, its most unforgiving truth is that once you die, you lose everything – days, months, or even years of effort can vanish in an instant, leaving many players frustrated. This is where the Compassionate Hardcore Mod steps in!
This mod preserves the intense excitement and tension of Hardcore mode while offering a restart mechanic that doesn’t equate dying with losing your entire world. Now, instead of being completely disconnected from the game upon death, you’ll have the chance to embark on a new adventure!

The Purpose of the Mod

This mod is designed for players who carefully strategize and progress cautiously during Hardcore play. However, when bad luck or a momentary mistake leads to death, there’s no need for regret or discouragement! Compassionate Hardcore encourages you to see death not as an end but as the beginning of a new and exciting journey. Players are penalized, but instead of completely giving up, they’re given an opportunity to recover and start fresh.
Do you wish to find your way back to your home and old world? That depends entirely on your courage, patience, and focus!

How It Works

When a player dies, the following system is triggered:

  1. Experience the Punishment System:

    • After death, the player faces a 30-minutes "penalty period."
    • If you respawn before this period ends, you will be teleported to a location far away from your original one. You won’t be able to return to your old world until you reach that location – but with patience and determination, you can find your way.
  2. Random Respawn Locations:

    • After the penalty period concludes, you’ll respawn in an entirely random location. This means you will encounter new biomes, environments, and challenges regularly.
    • This system both feeds the exploration aspect of the game and forces players to develop new strategies.
  3. Fair Respawn System:

    • The randomly selected respawn locations are chosen from safe areas to ensure the player has a chance to survive. You won’t respawn in hazards like lava, water, or at high cliffs where you might immediately die again.
  4. Chance to Return to Your Old Home:

    • Any player who wishes to return to their original home must find a way to survive, gather resources, and embark on a journey to retrace their steps. Honestly, you’ll probably need those shulkers full of rockets and many Elytra. ;)

A Balance for Players

For Hardcore enthusiasts, the aftermath of death often results in disappointment and regret. Losing an entire world because of a moment of carelessness can make players quit the game altogether. Compassionate Hardcore Mod strikes a balance that both encourages players and challenges them to keep going.

  • Death is still a serious consequence, stripping you of all your resources.
  • But this time, the apocalypse can be seen as the start of something new.

This mod keeps you from giving up entirely. Instead, it transforms death into an opportunity for new adventure, exploration, and overcoming the challenges of starting over.

Why Use This Mod?

This mod is especially designed for players who:

  • Love Hardcore mode but don’t want their efforts to completely go to waste after dying,
  • Enjoy traditional punishment mechanics in the game but can’t bear losing everything,
  • Believe that death is not an end but a beginning,
  • Want to discover new biomes and add a fresh thrill and challenge to the game.

Compassionate Hardcore Mod offers a gameplay style that rewards not only difficulty but also transformation and exploration.

Features

  1. Keeps the Thrill and Action of Hardcore Mode:

    • Death has serious consequences, but it gives players a chance to fight back and recover.
  2. Random Respawn Mechanics:

    • Respawn hundreds of blocks away from your location and start a new life on the map.
  3. Fair and Safe Respawn Locations:

    • Respawn points are free from hazards like lava, water, or falling dangers, ensuring a safer start.
  4. Encourages Strategy and Exploration:

    • Players must discover new ways to find their home, plan for survival, and gather fresh resources for a new beginning.

Can you find your way back at home?

Known issues:

Sometimes it gets stuck on the save screen when exiting your world. Your game is still being saved. In this case, force stop the game from the task manager.(I'm still working on this)
