Config Intermediary
An intermediate api for interacting with various config libraries.
About this Mod
Config Intermediary is a library designed for interacting with Fabric's multitude of config libraries.
Config Intermediary currently supports the following libraries:
- Auto Config (Cloth Config)
- oωo-config (oωo)
Config Intermediary also has specific support for the following mods:
- Configured (Config Intermediary will use Configured to generate automatic configuration screens for mods that use the above libraries that don't already provide their own configuration screens; Config Intermediary does not currently have a compatibility layer with SimpleConfig, Configured's builtin config api.)
- Mod Menu (Mod Menu has a built in config which is supported by Config Intermediary)

Config Intermediary server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.19.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Config Intermediary compatible with fabric?
Config Intermediary officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.19.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Config Intermediary – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Config Intermediary consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
