What is it?

Coordinate Share is a mod that allows players on your server to access their teammates coordinates as long as they are online.

First-time setup

Players can set an 8-digit code using /.setcode <code>. Players can use /.getcode to view their code if they ever forget. Codes will never appear in server logs.

Functionality

Players can then give their code to their teammates and once they have all entered the same code, they will be able to see each other's coordinates by running /.getcoords.
All online players on their team will also be notified if their coordinates were accessed and who in the team accessed them.
If players want to see who is on their team, they can run /.getteam and it will return a list of names.

Features:

  • 8-digit codes, 100,000,000 combinations
  • Players get notified whrn their coordinates are shared to keep transparency
  • Players can see who is on their team at any time
  • Codes are not showed in server logs or Admin chat
  • Mod also works on LAN worlds, only the host needs it installed

Frequently Asked Questions

Coordinate Share server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Coordinate Share compatible with fabric?

Coordinate Share officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Coordinate Share – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Coordinate Share consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
