Create: Brassworks
An overworld-friendly Create addon that adds balanced, renewable brass preparation and brass recycling.
About this Mod
Create: Brassworks
Create: Brassworks is a small Create addon focused on making brass progression smoother, more renewable, and less punishing without turning brass into a free resource.
It adds a nether-free brass path for those who want to Create, and not spend hours trying to find a nether fortress.
Features
Renewable Zinc and Copper
Create: Brassworks adds two new processing items:
- Zinc Grit
- Copper Grit
These are obtained through Create washing chains:
- Washing gravel has a chance to produce Zinc Grit
- Washing sand has a chance to produce Copper Grit
Brass Dust
Brass Dust is the main item added by this mod.
You can craft it using copper, zinc, and coal or charcoal, then smelt or blast it into brass ingots.
Once you've progressed more, you can use a mechanical mixer with copper, zinc, and andesite alloy to produce Brass Dust more efficiently.
Brass Recycling
Brassworks adds a few salvage recipes so common brass parts can recover some value:
- Crushing a Brass Sheet returns Brass Dust
- Crushing an Empty Blaze Burner returns Brass Dust, with a chance to recover an Iron Sheet
- Crushing a Precision Mechanism returns Brass Dust, with a chance to recover Andesite Alloy
