Creativerse
Survival and Creative mode dimensions in the same world!
About this Mod
What is Creativerse?
Creativerse is a data pack which generates a secondary overworld in your survival world - the creativerse!
This place is then used as a creative mode playground for
- prebuilding structures
- testing redstone machines
- experimenting with block palettes and gradients
- everything else you'd do in a creative world
Every player has separate inventories for both worlds!
Play with friends regardless of playstyle
I created creativerse with the intention to unite my creative mode friends with my survival mode buddies on one server to hang out without interfering with each others playstyle.
How to use
- /trigger creativerse_info gives you all the information you need
- /trigger creativerse_enter lets you enter the creativerse
- /trigger creativerse_exit returns you to the overworld
- /trigger creativerse_sync clones a 16x16x16 area from the overworld to the creativerse
Experimental features, limitations and bugs
Please notice this data pack uses experimental features introduced in 1.16 which may or may not work in future versions of the game! Minecraft will warn you when you load a world which uses potentially unsafe features.
Since this was tested by only a handful of people bugs might occur. Make sure to always backup your world.
The creativerse only works in the overworld right now. There are no plans to make it work with nether and end at the moment.
If you encounter any bugs message me on discord!
Usage alongside mods
creativerse is built as a data pack and exported as a mod. Because of this there may be issues with mods that change the inventory by adding new slots. Please backup your world if you plan to use creativerse alongside mods!

Creativerse server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Creativerse compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Creativerse officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.9, 1.21.8. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Creativerse – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Creativerse consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
