Death Notifier

Get a Discord notification every time you die — with the exact death message, cause, and killer info sent straight to a webhook of your choice.


Features

  • Sends a rich Discord embed on every death
  • Shows the exact death message from the game
  • Detects what killed you and categorizes it:
    • ⚔️ Player kill — shows killer's name
    • 👾 Mob kill — shows mob name with thumbnail
    • 🧱 Block/environmental — shows block image
    • ☠️ Environment — fall damage, void, starvation, etc.
  • Embed color changes based on kill type
  • Shows the server address you died on
  • Fully client-side — works on any server, no install needed

Setup

  1. Install the mod alongside Fabric API
  2. Join any server
  3. Run /deathnotifier setwebhook <your webhook url>
  4. Run /deathnotifier test to verify it's working

Commands

  • /deathnotifier setwebhook <url> — set your Discord webhook
  • /deathnotifier status — check if a webhook is configured
  • /deathnotifier test — send a test notification

How to Install Death Notifier on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Death Notifier". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
