Features
- ocean only worldgen
- deeper oceans: from shallows at 20 meters up to the 300+ meters of the abyss.
- very very rare emerged island
- custom player buoyancy depending on the current depth
- player's default O²: 30 seconds
- recipes and craft to help the begining of your journey
- few structures: base spawn, floating wood, under water pit
- achievements/advancements as progression (follow the guide only if you want)
- randomized water creature sizes (+/- 50%), 1% chance to be "megalodon" (+200%)
- crossover with Ocean Breaths to add underwater breathing mecanisms
- crossover with Blue Depths to add fishes, jellyfishes and sharks in oceans
Planned (futur update)
- depth pressure damage: craft diving armor to be protected and dive deeper. The goal is to slow down deeper exploration
break doors in water (try to remove this bug use)more structure to explore- bigger pool of spawns (floating start structures)
adjust difficulty (depending on the feedback)- more achievements about challenges

How to Install Deep Blue: Ocean Survival on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Deep Blue: Ocean Survival". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Deep Blue: Ocean Survival server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Deep Blue: Ocean Survival compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Deep Blue: Ocean Survival officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Deep Blue: Ocean Survival – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Deep Blue: Ocean Survival consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
