Defaulted Drops

Library to make blocks with no loot tables drop themselves. Only affects mods that opt-in.

Works server-side and in single player.

If a mod opts in (via fabric.mod.json), blocks from that mod that don't have loot tables will drop the item form of
that block.

This mod is only for Fabric (works on Quilt, too!) and I won't be porting it to Forge. The license is MIT, however, so anyone else is free to port it.

I'd appreciate links back to this page if you port or otherwise modify this project, but links aren't required.

How to Install Defaulted Drops on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Defaulted Drops". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Defaulted Drops server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
