Disease of Madness adds armor, ores, 7 unique mobs with abilities, custom plants and a sanity bar which determintes how sane you are. The bar has 9 levels which you can lose in many ways, either due to the mobs added by Disease of Madness or due to other causes, in the same way you can recover your sanity by drinking calming concoctions that are made with a special flower or also by sleeping, to late game there is also a special idol to recover sanity in the long term. you will need it.

There is a 10% chance of a hostile mob spawning with a effect called "Cordure Remover". This kind of mobs always have glowing and a possiblity to have strength, speed or resistance I. Or all in one. Almost all the vanilla hostile mobs can be a Cordure Remover mob. If you kill some of them you can get a special item called "Condensed Madness". Which is usefull in crafting things of the mod. Disease of Madness creatures also can be Cordure Remover mobs.

Disease of Madness have 2 armors and a hat (for now). The armor that is on the right is the Cordure Armor, it have 4 diferents abilities, each one for each piece of armor. The abilites are relacionated to the cordure bar and give you advantage in early and late game. Next, we have the Flint delver's hat, that makes you invulnerable to the effect of madness. Finally the Sanrage armor. It is usefull in early game and the mineral is pretty easy to find.

A great combination of Cordure Armor is Mind-beating scythe. Which also have a special ability that complements perfectly withe the style of game that the armor gives.

Disease of Madness also add a lot of ways to interact with your level of cordure. For example, idols to regenerate cordure progressively or artifacts to see your exacts percentage of cordure.

Around the world you will find "Sanity Flowers", with it you can get condensed sanity and prepared special concoctions of level 1, 2 and 3. The concoctions regenerate cordure. The concoction Lv1 regenerates 0.5 points, Lv2 regenerates 1.5 points and Lv3 regenerate 2.5 points. In order to make concoctions Lv2 you need some Lv1 and also you will need concoctions Lv2 to make some Lv3.
