About this Mod
Disposable Compass
Turn Nature's Compass and Explorer's Compass into one-destination navigation items.
Disposable Compass makes the two compass mods behave more like filled maps: once a compass is assigned to its first target, that same item keeps that destination and cannot be reused to pick a different biome or structure.

What it does
- Locks a Nature's Compass after the first biome is selected.
- Locks an Explorer's Compass after the first structure or structure group is selected.
- Blocks reopening the selection screen on locked compasses.
- Changes shift-right-click on locked compasses from reset into “search next”.
- Keeps the selected biome or structure type fixed while allowing the item to find the next matching location.
This is useful for exploration-focused packs where biome and structure compasses should be committed navigation items instead of reusable global search tools.

Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge
- Nature's Compass
- Explorer's Compass

Disposable Compass server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Disposable Compass compatible with neoforge?
Disposable Compass officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Disposable Compass – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Disposable Compass consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
