About this Mod

Divinity Engine is a powerful and expandable Minecraft modding framework that brings an entire pantheon of gods—and their divine systems—into the game. Designed for both players and mod developers, this mod transforms the survival experience into a realm of faith, favor, and divine consequence.

In this framework, players can form bonds with powerful gods, perform rituals at their shrines, earn favor through god-aligned actions, and gain access to powerful blessings. These blessings grant both passive and active abilities—from radiant explosions and water dashes to beast tracking and ghostly movement—each themed uniquely to their deity. But power comes at a price. Players who neglect their gods or act against them may find themselves cursed, suffering divine retribution with effects as creative as they are punishing.

Shrines to each god are spread across the Overworld, Nether, and End, and every interaction—from gaining favor to activating blessings—must be done in front of a shrine, reinforcing a ritualistic style of play. Favor is tracked individually per god, encouraging commitment, loyalty, and intentional play.

For modders, Divinity Engine is fully extensible. The core mod provides the shrine system, favor tracking, blessing loadouts (max 3 active at once), and curse mechanics, but leaves god definitions and shrine structures open for addons to register custom pantheons. Whether you're adding a single deity or a whole mythos, integration is seamless.

🔧 Core Features

  • Favor System: Earn or lose favor with individual gods through shrine-based actions.
  • Blessings: Equip up to 3 at a time—passive and active divine powers with unique gameplay effects.
  • Curses: Fall too far into disfavor, and suffer thematic, gameplay-altering punishments.
  • Shrine Interactions: Worship and divine interactions happen only at shrines—emphasizing location, ritual, and devotion.
  • Modular Design: Gods, blessings, curses, and shrines are all addon-compatible. Other devs can create and register their own gods and structures.
  • Lore-Friendly Design: Each god has a personality, flavor text, quotes, and thematic alignment to build immersive pantheons.
  • Blessing Loadout System: Players can only have 3 blessings active at a time, promoting balance and strategy.
  • Dimension-Based Shrines: Gods reside in different vanilla dimensions (Overworld, Nether, End), making exploration part of divine discovery.

Whether you want to become a Champion of the Sun, a Beast-bound hunter, or a Fate-marked trickster, Divinity Engine opens the door to a deeper, more dynamic Minecraft experience where faith shapes fate—and gods are watching.
