About this Mod
Don Pollo Mod is a mod that adds a new ore to the Minecraft world, along with new villager tradings and a planned boss fight: Don Pollo.
This project is still in development, but already includes functional content and is expected to expand with new features in future updates.
Originally created for the HackCluck Minecraft YSWS Edition Event V2.
🔹 Features
Don Pollo Ore:
Naturally generates between Y=64 and Y=0.
Requires a stone, iron diamond or netherite pickaxe .
Drops Don Pollo Ore directly when broken.
New villager trades:
Level 3 farmer villagers now offer trades for Don Pollo Ore.
One of the items available is the Don Pollo Egg.
Don Pollo Boss (coming soon):
Placing the egg in the world will summon Don Pollo, a boss with both melee and ranged fireball attacks.
Upon defeat, he will drop the Don Pollo Sword, which also shoots fireballs.
This feature is still in development but fully planned.

ℹ Current Status
The mod currently includes ore generation and new farmer villager trades. The boss and sword are still under development, but the core gameplay features are functional.
This project was originally made for fun during the HackCluck Minecraft YSWS Edition Event V2, and will be updated as time allows (maybe never lol).
Available Versions
How to Install Don Pollo on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.5).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Don Pollo". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Don Pollo server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Don Pollo compatible with fabric?
Don Pollo officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.5. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Don Pollo – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Don Pollo consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
