About the mod
This is a Donut (also called Doughnuts) mod designed for 1.16.5. As the name suggests, this mod adds a multitude of Donuts and Donut varieties which include:
- Ring Donuts (The classic donut shape)
- Filled Donuts (Similar to rings, but without the hole)
- Donut Holes (A type of small donut, obtained when cutting rings)
- Potato Donuts (Also known as "Spudnuts". This is the first minecraft mod to include Potato donuts, as no other mod has them.)
There are also a lot of flavors! Such as sugar, sweet berries and honey; this mod supports Croptopia, you can combine caramel, peanut butter or jams to make the respective flavors!

Crafting
Everything in this mod is craftable, the Croptopia related items (Jam donuts, Peanut Butter donuts and Caramel donuts) are only craftable if the Croptopia mod is installed.
JEI is reccomended to check the recipes.

- To cook the Donuts, you can use an encased fan behind a fire to smoke them.
- To make a honey donut, you must place a Donut on a depot below a Spout
- To make any other flavor you must deploy the ingredients or mix them in a basin

- This Recipe is variable, you can use any valid ingredient with any valid donut, the Image in the 'Flavors' spoiler has all valid combinations.

All donuts have to be cooked. You need a smoker to cook the donuts.

How to Install Donuts on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.16.5).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Donuts". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Donuts server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.16.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Donuts compatible with forge?
Donuts officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.16.5. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Donuts – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Donuts consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
