Doppler
Adds the famous Doppler effect into Minecraft's sound engine.
About this Mod
The Doppler effect is a real-life sound phenomena that shows up as a frequency change when either you the listener or the source of the audio is moving, its better explained here: Doppler Wiki.
Compatible with Simple Voice Chat and Plasmo Voice.
Config
Default effect "scale" is at 40%, noticeable but not too exaggerated, though I havent tested all means of movement next to audio sources, so you're free to change it in ModMenu's settings screen for the mod or in the config file located at <minecraft>/config/doppler.cfg (value is a decimal with ranges from 0-1 (default: 0.4), though no hard limits).

Why?
I kept seeing insta reels that have "doppler effect" caption with a clip of something in minecraft just decreasing in volume, which is NOT the effect in question!!
So I made this mod, so you can hear what it really sounds like, who will use it? idk, but its fun 😸

Doppler server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.10). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Doppler compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Doppler officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.10, 1.21.5, 1.21.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Doppler – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Doppler consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
