About this Mod
Dragonights is an upcoming 3D-animated sci-fi action TV series set in the J9 Universe. Rated TV-14 for fantasy violence. This is the official Minecraft mod for the Dragonights TV series, developed and maintained by J9 Studios and representatives of the Dragonights™ franchise. Its purpose is to help promote the franchise via popular outlets such as video gaming and other fan-generated media surrounding it.
☄️ Introduction ☄️
The mod aims to bring the majority of contents from the TV show into the world of Minecraft so you can create your own adventures with your friends inside the J9 Universe. In order to make this fully complete and in-parity with what Minecraft offers, some things will be integrated in ways that are non-cannon to the series.
To get started, you will need to find rare Meteors that crashed into the Overworld. From there, using the crystals you found and a Thick Potion, you will be able to brew a new Crystallization Potion that will grant you the ability of whatever crystal you brewed it with, turning you into a Dragonight.
Currently, only a few dragonite crystals have been implemented alongside Chondrite and a few paintings. Additionally, an oozing mechanic has been introduced using smelted Ender Pearls (Pearl Ooze), which can disable the crystals' terraforming abilities similarly to how waxing copper prevents oxidation. If a crystal is hit by lightning, it will instantly speed up terraformation once.

☄️ Upcoming Features ☄️
There are so much planned, but one of the largest struggles is going to be somehow keeping the overall feel of this the most vanilla-ish possible. Currently, the mod is only available for the latest version of Minecraft, NeoForge 1.21.8. As development gets closer to completion we plan on porting it down to more popular verions of the game, including making it available for the Fabric modloader and releasing an addon for Bedrock Edition.

| Dragonight Abilities | Turn yourself or an entity into a dragonight by making a Dragonization Potion using a Thick Potion and a Dragonite Crystal. Becoming a dragonight will grant the full abilities, and a lot more, of that specific crystal. An entity can only be one kind of dragonight at a time, but are able to use a Reset Potion to switch. |
| Dragonite Crystals | With over a couple dozen unique crystal varients, you can now automatically terraform your world in any way imaginable and use their unique abilities to your advantage. |
| Planets | A dozen fresh dragonite planets to explore in another planetary system with Ad Adstra integration. Each planet will be populated by diverse cultures and entities, and offering many new blocks and items. |
| Aliens | Fight off aliens who want to claim the world as their own by participating in Cold Raids, a new raid system involving the antagonists, Plozonies. Collect Vortanium, a magic resistant metal from the planet Pluton, during Cold Raids and craft unique armor and tools that are above Netherite tier and get stronger in cold biomes, but weaker in warm climates. |

| Astral State | This becomes more special and realistic when played in hardcore mode. As a dragonight you will have two inventories, your physical and your astral. You can switch between them at any given time, but if you die as a dragonight you are trapped as a ghost unless you give-up or find another specific dragonight who can transfer your astral body to the physical world. Upon that transfer, you will loose access to your second inventory. Don't think the Astral World is friendly, its far more dangerous than the physical, but offers a great view of the world below and is like adventure mode for spectators. |
| Bosses | Face off against all the head antagonists from the Dragonights™ franchise. Most of them will be hardly beatable without becoming a dragonight or to the least gaining some sort of supernatural ability. |
☄️ External Compatibilities ☄️
This early in development there are no specific compatibilities intentionally made by us. Any mod that properly uses datapack tags should automatically be compatible with one-way terraformation. As development gets closer to completion we plan on making this mod the most compatible with all major mods to provide a seamless experience for modpack players and creators.

How to Install Dragonights on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Dragonights". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Dragonights server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Dragonights compatible with neoforge?
Dragonights officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.1, 1.20.6. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Dragonights – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Dragonights consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
