Dunac's Copper Rails
A mod that revitalizes rail travel: copper powered rails are cheaper and more plentiful, while gold powered rails are much faster.

About this Mod
This mod adds a new item, the Copper Powered Rail. This item functions in exactly the same way as a normal gold powered rail, but accelerates carts more slowly.
As this mod is intended to make rail travel more viable than vanilla, I have compensated for this lower acceleration by significantly increasing the gold powered rail acceleration value. This means your logistics networks can swap copper for gold 1:1 and you should notice only increased efficiency.
I have also increased the minecart max speed to around 200 blocks per second. This is possible by forcing minecarts to use the Minecart Improvements movement logic. NOTE: The player DOES NOT need to enable Experimental Minecart Improvements for this to work. There is the risk that this mod will break minecart-timing-based redstone contraptions.
