A faithful port of the enchanting system from Minecraft Dungeons
What exactly does this mod change?
This mods completely replaces the vanilla enchanting system. Now, players earn enchantment points by leveling up which
can be spent in an enchantment table. Enchantment points can also be refunded in the grindstone. All enchantments now have 3 levels. The enchantments are not any less/more powerful, but rather they have been rebalanced to fit the 3 level cap like in MC Dungeons.
Is this compatible with X enchantment mod?
Yes and No. DunChanting aims to have 100% enchantment mod compatibility. However, the project is in alpha and issues
are expected. If your favorite enchantment mod doesn't work, create an issue report!
What about Easy Anvils / Easy Magic? Do those work?
No. DunChanting completely overhauls the enchantment table, grindstone, and anvil. Having any Easy mods may lead to
unexpected behavior and possible crashes.

How to Install DunChanting on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "DunChanting". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

DunChanting server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is DunChanting compatible with fabric?
DunChanting officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.5, 1.21.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with DunChanting – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if DunChanting consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
