About this Mod

DurtleWeapons

is a mod made for the Durtle Empire SMP to give its players custom tool skins.

It adds a multitude of reskinned netherite tools, including textures and death messages. All items are currently survival unobatinable.

This was originally a datapack trying and hilariously failing to give specific items custom death messages. This endeavour caused the slow death of the server as it turned out the datapack was not deleting scoreboard entries after making them and racked up almost a hundred thousand before the server stopped working and we had to go looking for the issue.

How to Install DurtleWeapons on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "DurtleWeapons". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
