About this Mod
Description
This mod features the Fire Starter, an item that works like Flint and Steel. With a configurable number of uses and a simple crafting recipe, the Fire Starter is ideal for the early game or any modpack where Flint and Steel is more difficult to craft.
Features:
- Fire starter craftable with 2 sticks and 2 "tinder" (this includes paper, wheat, resin clump, leaf litter, dead bush, and dried kelp)
- Recipes added to the recipe book upon picking up a piece of tinder
- Fire starter has a configurable base number of uses (4 uses by default)
- In-game configuration is available via Mod Menu if installed

How to Install Early Game Fire Starter on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Early Game Fire Starter". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Early Game Fire Starter server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
