About this Mod

Required and optional dependencies for the best experience:

Requires: Cloth Config API
Optional: Mod Menu

Optional: AppleSkin
Optional: Centered Crosshair
Optional: No Night Vision Flickering

This mod implements my vision for how Minecraft's food system should work:

  • Damage cancels eating (except poison/fire/drowning etc.)
  • Eating visual indication (see gallery)
  • Combat foods: fast to eat, giving buffs, low saturation
  • Sustain foods: are slow to eat but giving huge saturation
  • Vanilla food hunger/saturation overhaul. Golden carrots are not universally best food now.
  • Saturation cap: 30 (vanilla 20) [Configurable]

Starting with version 2.0, the mod has extensive customization options! You can modify the parameters for any vanilla food, or add support for modded food using its ID in the config/eating-pace.json config file. You can change whatever you want, including food hunger, saturation, consuming time or effects.

Enjoy!
