About this Mod
Echo Relics
Echo Relics is a NeoForge exploration and progression mod for Minecraft 26.1.2.
It gives caves, ruins, elite encounters, and late-game boss pressure a shared "echo" reward loop: mine Echo Ore, awaken a talent, follow ruin hints, open marked caches, fight elite echoes, craft stronger weapons, and push toward Nocturne boss cycles.
Why Download Echo Relics?
Download Echo Relics if you want a survival-friendly mod that adds new goals without replacing vanilla progression. The mod is built around small but readable steps:
- Mine Echo Ore underground and refine Echo Shards into Echo Ingots.
- Receive an awakening and inspect your current talent with the Echo Sigil.
- Follow distance-and-direction hints toward Echo Ruins, Armament Ruins, Final Ruins, and smaller wilderness caches.
- Use visible violet cache markers, Echo Lanterns, amethyst, and purple glass to find surface rewards.
- Craft Echo weapons, armor, utility relics, cache tokens, and challenge materials.
- Survive elite echo events and turn their drops into stronger reward routes.
- Challenge Armament Altars for weapon progression.
- Prepare for Nocturne Echo boss cycles and Darkness Domain counterplay.
Main Features
Echo Materials and Mining
Echo Relics adds Echo Ore, Deepslate Echo Ore, Echo Shards, Echo Ingots, and Echo Blocks. These materials form the base of the mod's crafting, altar, cache, and weapon progression.
Awakening and Talents
Players can awaken an Echo talent and use the Echo Sigil to view it. The current 0.2.1 build includes 18 talent identities with gameplay hooks for exploration, cache rewards, elite combat, weapons, marked targets, boss pressure, and Darkness Domain counterplay.
Ruins, Caches, and Exploration Hints
The mod adds an exploration system that places Echo-themed content while players explore the Overworld. Players can receive approximate distance and direction hints toward nearby content.
Current exploration targets include:
- Echo Ruins with altar layouts and loot chests.
- Armament Ruins with weapon-challenge progression.
- Final Ruins for later progression.
- Small wilderness Echo caches with brighter violet markers so players can actually find them.
The placement system uses local density caps so new content remains discoverable without filling one small area with too many structures.
Weapons, Gear, and Utility Relics
Echo Relics adds practical gear for exploration and combat:
- Echo Blade
- Echo Bow
- Echo Halberd
- Echo Pickaxe
- Echo Guard armor
- Echo Amulet
- Echo Lantern
- reinforced weapon entries, generated weapon routes, and named relic progression
Several weapons interact with marked targets, combat control, reveal effects, or reward progression.
Elite Events and Reward Caches
Elite echo events use warning messages and retry-safe spawn handling. Defeating elite variants can feed material and cache progression.
Reward tiers include:
- Faint Echo Cache
- Deep Echo Cache
- Boss Echo Cache
- Final Echo Cache
- directed Blade, Bow, and Halberd weapon caches
Armament Altars and Boss Progression
Armament Altars and Final Armament Altars provide challenge routes for weapon and material progression. The Nocturne Echo boss loop introduces later-stage pressure, boss-cycle rewards, and Darkness Domain counterplay through Echo Lanterns and Echo Amulets.
Gameplay Loop
- Start a world and gather basic resources.
- Find Echo Ore underground.
- Craft Echo Ingots and early Echo equipment.
- Awaken a talent and check it with the Echo Sigil.
- Explore new terrain for ruin and cache hints.
- Open marked caches and ruin chests for materials.
- Fight elite echoes and convert their drops into stronger cache or weapon routes.
- Use Armament Altars, Nocturne materials, and late-game caches to push deeper into the mod.

Current 0.2.1 Scope
Echo Relics is still a beta-style project. The current public build focuses on a playable exploration and progression loop, not a giant content overhaul.
Known scope notes:
- Client and server both need the mod installed.
- Ruin and cache placement is handled by Echo Relics runtime exploration logic rather than vanilla-style structure datapacks.
- Multiplayer should use the same jar on the server and every client.
- Balance is still being tuned through live playtesting.
Localization Note
Echo Relics includes English and Simplified Chinese language files. The Modrinth project page and version changelogs are kept in English for review clarity.
