Eco Picks is a Minecraft mod where you craft leaf pickaxes, combine them into an OP Eco Pickaxe, and befriend Leafee that helps you through the game.
📜 Features
- Leaf Pickaxes: Craft pickaxes from different wood types (Oak, Birch, Spruce, Acacia, Dark Oak, Jungle, Cherry, Mangrove, and Pale Oak)
- Eco Pickaxe: Combine up to 9 different leaf pickaxes to create an overpowered mining tool with unique abilities
- Leafee Companion: A friendly pet mob that:
- Follows and defends you in battle
- Stores items in its inventory
- Converts amethyst shards into Leafee shards to fix/upgrade your pickaxe
- Can be tamed and commanded
🛠️ How It Works
- Craft leaf pickaxes using leaves from different tree types
- Combine multiple unique leaf pickaxes to create the Eco Pickaxe
- Find and tame a Leafee using leaves
- Right-click your Leafee to access its inventory and conversion features
- Use amethyst shards to create Leafee shards through your companion

- Download the mod
.jarfile from Modrinth. - Place it in the
modsfolder in your Minecraft directory - Launch the game and start your eco-friendly adventure!

How to Install Eco Picks on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.5).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Eco Picks". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Eco Picks server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Eco Picks compatible with fabric?
Eco Picks officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Eco Picks – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Eco Picks consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
