About this Mod
This datapack lets you enchant your food with two new enchantments and one new curse. It also adds in an additional crafting recipe for the enchanted golden apple which is more balanced than the old recipe.

🍖 Curse of Gluttony
Food enchanted with this item cannot be dropped from your inventory. If you have eaten some of it, you will also not be able to move it from your inventory into another inventory such as a chest. Additionally, if you try to eat other food after having eaten some cursed food, it will give you an additional food item with the curse of gluttony.Upon consumption you will gain hunger, and it will replace the item you consumed with another food item that also has curse of gluttony on it. You will have a 1/11 chance to get a food item that gives you a higher level of gluttony, and a 1/11 chance to get a food item that give syou a lower level of gluttony. At level 1, if you get a food item of a lower level, it will not be cursed and your journey will end. At level 5, instead of getting a food item at level 6, it will just kill you.
Higher levels of gluttony will give you more side effects, such as higher hunger, nausea, and poison.

How to Install Enchantable Food on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.7).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Enchantable Food". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Enchantable Food server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.7). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Enchantable Food officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.7, 1.21.6, 1.21.5. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Enchantable Food – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Enchantable Food consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
