End-Less
Changes End portals after the dragon’s defeat, adding a special return portal and a new Outer End–like dimension.
About this Mod
Mod Overview
This mod changes the way End portals work, especially after defeating the Ender Dragon.
Details
Before the Dragon is Defeated
Entering any End portal will always take you to the End’s central island for the dragon fight.
After the First Dragon Kill
A special portal will spawn at (0, 300, 0) in the Overworld. Entering this portal will take you back to the dragon’s arena in minecraft:the_end.
Entering any other End portal (not at 0, 300, 0) will lead you to a new dimension, msg:new_end, which is similar to the Outer End but without the central dragon island.
Travel to msg:new_end
Your X and Z coordinates remain the same during the transfer.
Your Y coordinate is adjusted for safe spawning (e.g., from 1523 -50 640 in the Overworld to 1523 52 640 in msg:new_end).
Upon arrival, you will spawn on an obsidian platform with an End portal directly beneath it, allowing you to return to the Overworld.
Return from msg:new_end
- Jumping into the End portal in msg:new_end will return you to the original coordinates in the Overworld, at the same Y-level where the portal was (e.g., Y = -50).
Dimensions
- minecraft:the_end → Contains only the dragon fight island with the single biome minecraft:the_end.
- msg:new_end → Resembles the Outer End but has no central island.
