About this Mod

Adds the ability to save yourself from the darkness by holding an illuminating object in hand.

This is implemented by adding tags to items:

Items tagged with edl:safe give the Veiled effect when held in the hand. The effect disappears when in water. (Default: Torch, Soul Torch, Lava Bucket)
Items tagged with edl:water_safe give the Veiled effect when held in the hand even in water. (Default: Lantern, Soul Lantern, Glowstone Block, Sea Lantern, End Rod, Beacon)

Items can be added via datapack.

How to Install Engulfing Dynamic Lights on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.19.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Engulfing Dynamic Lights". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
