Enhanced Endgame

Disclaimer: this is an early beta version, playable but improvements will be made.

 

What is Enhanced Endgame?

 

It aims to improve balance for endgame. Why elytra is removed? Simply because it makes every other method of transport obsolete as soon as you obtain it, and getting it is not so hard anyways. Another reason is that it can cause a lot of lags on servers due to rapid chunk loading when flying.

 

To ease moving around The End dimension, throwing Eye of Ender in The End will teleport you to nearby islands, and this is now the primary way to explore this dimension.

 

Instead of elytra, meet Unstable matter, which can be found the same way as elytra - end ship. But not so easy! You will also need sculk shrieker and heavy core to craft warpstone which will allow you to harness power of black hole and inter dimensional travel. Crafting the warpstone is only the first step though, you will need to make some potions from chorus fruit and ender pearls to activate it.

 

Crafting and usage

To activate it, you will need to make Chorus energy. By default, the black hole will jiggle around indicating it does not have any destination set. Entering the black hole in this state will teleport you anywhere in the world, so please be prepared. Also, activated black hole will attract all entities into its center, and will drain 1% of total player's experience every 2 ticks. To set destination for warpstone, you need to craft Empty warp rune. While holding it, right click a warpstone to get Inscribed warp rune with coordinates to clicked warpstone. Next, while holding Inscribed warp rune, right click another warpstone to set its destination to the first warpstone. Will kill/destroy every entity that is not Player.

 

Chorus essence

Brewing recipe - Awkward potion + Chorus fruit

Consuming it gives Displaced effect for 6 seconds. Effect is similar to consuming single chorus fruit, but at greater distance and will trigger multiple times over time.

 

Chorus energy

Brewing recipe - Chorus essence + Ender pearl

Consuming it gives Black hole effect for 6 seconds. Teleports nearby living entities to your location.

 

Unstable matter

Can only be found in end ships. Used to craft Warpstone.

 

Empty warp rune

Crafting recipe - Paper + Chorus energy

Used to obtain Inscribed warp rune with coordinates to chosen Warpstone.

 

Inscribed warp rune

Obtained by using Empty warp rune on Warpstone. Using it on unstable Warpstone will set its destination and stabilize the black hole.
