About this Mod

Welcome to the Escher's Gambit Mod!

This Mod is based on the Game of Chess but Figures can move on Walls!
When you click on an Item with the correct Rod you see where it can move and can click on the highlighted squares to automatically move it there!

Items:

This Mod adds Chess Pieces that can be played with! They come in 4 Colors and can be moved over Edges!

This Picture shows Chess Pieces on the ground and on the wall ordered by Colour Type. There are 9 Chess Pieces of one Colour. These are the 6 usual Chess Pieces as well as a Pawn, a King and a Rook with a Green dot above them.

This Image shows the 2 new Creative Inventory Tabs. One for the new Tools that come with this Mod. And one just for all the Chess Pieces.

Chessboard with Wormhole:

This Image shows a Chessboard with a hole in it. You can see that a Queen on the Chessboard can travel down the whole while staying on the Surface of the Chess Board

They can be moved using the Rod of Moving of the same Colour and can be destroyed or Rotated using The Rod of Removal and Rod of Rotation!

Feel free to come up with your own boards :)
The Aim of this Mod is to provide a Sandbox that can be used in different ways.

Survival:

To get the "Chess Core"-Item to begin crafting your Chess Pieces you have to kill a Zombie.

How to Install Escher's Gambit on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Escher's Gambit". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
