About this Mod

This mod is like a redo of one the first mods i had ever made, 2 years ago i made a mod called Bones Handles that added bone handle variants of alot of tools- but it was pretty bad, its outdated and my girlfriend showed a slight bit of interest in it once.. so i made this for her! I love you Sanity <3

Adds a new item property called  handle_type that can be applied to all types of Swords, Pickaxes, Axes, Shovels & Hoes, as well as Bows, Brushes, Fishing Rods & Maces.

The property has 9 different states

  • Wooden (Used by most things by default)
  • Armadillo (using Armadillo Scutes)
  • Amethyst (using Amethyst Shards)
  • Bone (using Bones)
  • Prismarine (using Prismarine Shards)
  • Breeze (using Breeze Rods, Mace uses this by default)
  • Scute (using Turtle Scutes)
  • Echo (using Echo Shards)
  • Netherite (using Netherite Ingots, Netherite tools use this by default)

Each property state also has an assigned Smithing Template to upgrade your original tools, crafting with their resource in the middle, leather on top and surrounded by lapis.

Any Supported tool can be directed crafted with a custom handle by replacing their original handle resource with one of the custom resources in the recipe.. for example a Stick & Heavy Core would create a Mace that has a wooden handle without needing to "upgrade" it in a smithing table.

Depending on the original tools handle and the current handle, you might end up with less or more durability than the original.. for Netherite tools if you don't have a Netherite handle it will be less durability- for maces if you have something worse than the Breeze Tier, it will have less durability.. other than that, anything is an upgrade and will have more durability.

An especially good usage for this mod will be crafting or upgrading your bows and fishing rods to netherite, to greatly increase their durability (increasing it by 1015), additionally you can just mess around and make a wooden hoe with a netherite handle that is really bad but has tons of durability!
